The deposit amount should always be based on the actual consumption of electricity. Use your last invoice for the whole year to estimate annual payment and adjust the deposit according to whether you intend to increase or reduce consumption (e.g. according to number of people in the household). For example for monthly payments the deposit amount must not be less than 1/12 of the forecast annual invoiced amount for supply and distribution.
Warning:
If you are paying deposits without using cash, it is essential that you agree with your bank to adjust the debit limit or change the amount of standing order so that the setup of the payments fits the new deposit amount.
