This August, for the third time in a row, almost seventy children from orphanages which are located throughout the entire distribution territory of the E.ON Group, met at the Energetik children’s camp in Soběnov in the Kaplice area. E.ON provides a free of charge ten day stay for these children, aged 7 to 13 years old “Our recreational center in Soběnov is very suitable for similar events – it is a place with one of the cleanest environments in the entire Czech Republic,” said the company speaker Vladimír Vácha.
However, this year’s last camp course was very different from the previous ones in many ways. The familiar camp competitions and matches were completed this year by energetic quizzes and skill contests brought by the crew of the E.ON Energy Truck. And amongst the children, the Commissioner of the South Bohemian Region, Jiří Zimola, and the Executive of E.ON Česká Republika, Michael Fehn also appeared at the camp this year.
E.ON sees the children summer camp project for socially handicapped children as its contribution to social responsibility. All technical issues, organization, and material is provided by E.ON. The children have the finest care regarding the personnel, mainly thanks to the main chief and an old employee of E.ON Jiří Hinterhölz, who is helped by other experienced external counselors, medics, economists, and kitchen employees with pertinent qualifications and authorization.
