Optim offers customers the transfer of responsibility for deviations to the supplier in a mutually agreed upon tolerance band. If the customer deviates from the agreed upon band of tolerance by his actual consumption in one of the assessed hours, then it will pay the agreed amount for electricity consumed above this band and for the amount of electricity agreed to be consumed and not consumed, taking into account the additional costs for electricity settlement.
Optim compares the actual level of consumption with the agreed upon level of consumption. Therefore, the supplier requests the arrangement of a binding consumption diagram. The agreed upon consumption diagram may be flexibly refined by an agreed upon method.
The concept of deviation is understood as a difference between the contractually arranged requirement for electrical energy consumption and the actual consumption. Both the portion of electrical energy, by which the consumer exceeds the negotiated amount in the given hour, as well as the amount of electricity that was duly ordered but not consumed from the electrical network by the customer, are considered as deviations. This difference is evaluated every hour by an independent electricity market Operator, who simultaneously determines the current price of this deviation. However, the customer has the opportunity to transfer responsibility for settling the deviation to his electrical energy dealer.
Optim is suitable for customers who can actively manage and plan their electricity consumption. It brings significant cost savings when adhering to the mutually agreed band, and offers various intervals of the mutually agreed upon tolerance band with consideration for the customer's possibilities of actively managing his consumption of electricity.
