The Eurorebus is a traditional nationwide knowledge competition. Pupils and students from the 6th grade of basic schools to the last (leaving-exam) grades of high schools prove their knowledge in geography, history, nature, as well as in socio-scientific disciplines. The internet competition takes place throughout the entire school year; pupils compete as individuals, as a class, or as an entire school. The competitors who collect the most points enter a public regional round and then the nationwide finale, which takes place at the end of the school year in Prague.
The main competition prize, the E.ON Eurorebus Expedition, is provided to the winners by the E.ON Energy Group. Representatives of each school's class team, which won in its category, and the most successful individual competitors, will participate in a week-long educational trip in Europe – E.ON Expedition Eurobus.
In addition, the pupils also compete for computer equipment for their school and for other prizes. The individual prizes for the most successful competitors are, for example, cell phones, MP3 players, certificates of deposit, subscription fee for magazines, and other valuable prizes.
In the last school year, close to 26 000 competitors participated in this contest.
