The International Musical Festival of Český Krumlov, whose main partner is E.ON Czech Republic, undoubtedly ranks among the most significant festivals in our country. For example this year, the festival, offered to its listeners music from the 13th to the 21st century in 24 concerts of various genres during five weeks, from classical music, through jazz up to folklore. Outstanding artists from all over the world performed at the festival every year, but this year's festival was exceptional due to several magnanimously conceived concerts, thanks to the number of performing world opera singers and also due to outstanding foreign conductors. Also, we must not omit the world-known Czech virtuosos either, as for instance Václav Hudeček, Gabriela Demeterova or Pavel Steidl, ranked by music reviewers among the three best guitar players in the world.
