E.ON Breakdown service for electricity

Call E.ON Breakdown service in case of:

  • reporting of a new breakdown
  • getting new information on power outages
  • getting new information on scheduled electrical power cuts
  • for report of a failure of an electricity meter and HDO appliance
  • report of emergency conditions in a third party appliance with a risk of danger to life or incurred damages of significant degree
  • at request for insulation of lines, for relocation, for disconnection of electricity
  • at request of pruning of trees reaching into electric lines
  • for permission of removal of a seal due to a failure of a customer's device in a meter distributing board

Before calling E.ON Breakdown service...

Are you experiencing an outage?

  • Check if other appliances work (sockets). If they do, the cause is likely to be in your appliance.
  • Check the main circuit breaker before the electric meter and the protections of the individual circuits in the costumer unit (circuit breakers) is functioning. Attention, the circuit breaker may be off also if in the lower position. It is important to first place each breaker into the lower position and then move it up again.
  • Check whether electricity is on in neighboring areas.

Are you experiencing a failure of an electric meter? Check...

  • Does the electric meter run also when you switch of your costumer units?
  • Does only VT or NT wind?
  • Is the electric meter too loud?
  • Do your neighbors experience the same troubles?

Your water does not warm up or the electric heating does not work? Check...

  • ...the position of the circuit breaker of the boiler, storage heating or direct heating (place the breaker into the lower position and then return in back up again)
  • If a coil of the boiler thermostat lights
  • If the supply should at that time change to a Low Tariff? Appliances for water warming and heating regularly operate only during the Low Tariff. Check if HDO flashes? If yes, what is the current position of the electric meter (VT or NT)? Check the HDO appliance for the HDO command, e.g. in a form of A1 B6 P5, E1F3, 187 etc. Enter your code here and check the correct times for the Low Tariff.

E.ON Breakdown service for natural gas

When to call Breakdown Service 1239 for natural gas?

  • To report a natural gas leak – call 1239, open the windows, ventilate the endangered area, do not operate an open fire, and close the main gas shut-down valve (HUP).
  • When you notice limited gas pressure
  • To report defects on the gas meter
  • In case of a failure of natural gas supply to the supply point
  • To report a defect and failure of a gas device (gas main, service line, gas regulation station, cathode protection station)
  • To report a situation related to general danger in relation to the operation of the gas network

Before you call T1239...

  • Check whether the main gas shutdown valve (HUP) is in fact open.
  • See ifother gas devices work. If they do, the cause is probably in your gas device (the emergency service only secures failures of gas devices and house gas lines only against the inception of other damage by closing the main gas shutdown valve). The emergency service does not provide repairs and maintenance of gas devices (OPZ). This is to be handled by private gas-installation companies.
