Energy Group E.ON announces the final electricity prices. They will decrease.
E.ON purchases electricity cheaper, it wants its clients to do the same.
On the basis of the price decision of the Energy Regulation Office for regulated price components, E.ON Energie has stated the final prices for individual tariff client products in 2010.
The overall decrease in electricity prices for tariff products from E.ON Energie, a. s., including all components, is for household clients an average of -3.95 %. The price of electricity consists of an unregulated (price of electricity) and a regulated portion (transmission, distribution, contribution to production from renewable sources, etc.). The average growth of regulated components in household tariffs for E.ON Energie is +10.89 %. This increase has been primarily caused by the massive connection of solar power plants to the E.ON. distribution network.
The main reason for the decrease in electricity prices is the current favourable purchase price of electricity. The stock exchange prices reported for the first half of 2009 show a significant decrease. The energy company E.ON Energie immediately responded to this decrease and in the second quarter of this year prepared, short-term offers for clients of up to a 20% discount on their electricity. From September, E.ON Energie prepared products from the Trend series with respect to the development of prices on the stock exchange. The overall interest of clients in this product series is large because they could achieve a significant decrease in the prices of power electricity four months in advance i.e. up to 14 %. “The price at which we purchase is not lower than at the end of last year in the Czech Republic. Therefore, E.ON Energie enables its clients to immediately profit from this development” explained the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the joint-stock company E.ON Energie, Michal Šafář.
The E.ON energy group in the Czech Republic belongs to the group E.ON Energie AG. E.ON Energie AG is the largest private provider of energy services in Europe, and supplies electricity and gas for about 15 million customers. Czech energy group E.ON supplies electricity in South Bohemia and South Moravia for 1,4 million customers and has achieved the market share of about 20 %. In the gas area, it has a more than 4.000 km long network, and supplies gas for 110.000 customers in South Bohemia.
